We would Like to Thank everyone who attended the 2005 Reunion and all those who helped make the weekend a success.  We appreciate everyone who gave of their time and talents to make us look GOOD!  The reunion was great fun!  See you in 2010.

The Reunion Committee

Class of 1966

The Ashland Class of 1966 met on the weekend of May 5,6&7^th for their 40 year reunion.  Eighteen classmates gathered at the Best Western Wichita North Hotel and enjoyed reminiscing and catching up on each other’s lives. 

Those who were able to arrive on Friday enjoyed supper together and the epitome of a surprise birthday party for Pat Yaple.  Saturday morning started out by having a buffet breakfast together and visiting in the enclosed common area as more classmates arrived.  Saturday afternoon everyone enjoyed a drawing for prizes and a program of musical selections performed by fellow classmates.  Leland Vandeveer composed an ode in memory of our 4^th grade teacher.  Accompanied by Sherry Willis, he sang the “Kitty Wilson Twist”.  A trio of Monica Moghadom, Bill Mull, and Leland, accompanied by Karen Humphreys, sang a couple of appropriate numbers.  By general consent, it was decided the group is not quite ready to take their show on the road, unless the places they perform can guarantee adequate lighting for aging eyesight!  Saturday evening the group carpooled to the Prairie Rose Ranch for dinner and entertainment by the Prairie Rose Wranglers.  Sherry Willis was one of the event planners and did lots of little extras to make each of us feel special—including “goodie” bags in our hotel rooms, a classmate directory, and CD’s of 1966 music.  Bill Mull and Marilyn Gooszen also helped with planning the fun weekend.
